On Sunday we visited Fox Lake, Illinois as we had heard that there were American White Pelicans and Bald Eagles there. The lake was still partially frozen and we saw hundreds of pelicans and several Bald Eagles (mature and immature). It was an amazing sight to see huge flocks of pelicans flying over. They are quite spectacular in flight. The images are now in the gallery along with some of a rather handsome Merganser.
